ABOUT COOKIES
Cookies are packets of data sent by webservers to web browsers and stored on these browsers. The data is then sent back to the servers each time the browser asks for a page to be displayed from the server. This enables the webserver to identify and track web browsers.
There are two main types of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are deleted from your computer when you close your browser, whereas persistent cookies remain stored on your computer until they are deleted or until they reach their expiry date.
