Safer Internet Day focuses on respectful use of the Internet
Today, 6th February, is Safer Internet Day, an international day that focuses on making the Internet safer for children and young people. The theme for 2018: “Create, connect and share respect: a better Internet starts with you”.
A safe Internet is also an Internet where you show respect for other Internet users. An inappropriate photo, video or opinion can be shared in a flash as soon as it gets online. Please don’t forget about the privacy or dignity of the people who are involved, will you? Safer Internet Day is designed to make children and youngsters aware of using the Internet and social media better and more respectfully. An educational package is also available to involve their teachers and the people who supervise and guide them. Anyone interested can ask to receive it here.
