More than 5,700 fraudulent websites taken offline in 2019

There are so many fraudulent websites ending in .be that try and trick their victims into trusting them.

Fortunately, the domain name manager, DNS Belgium, is now able to identify these sites and take them offline more quickly. This was demonstrated in 2019 when DNS Belgium disconnected more than 5,700 of them – 2,090 of which were fake online shops.

DNS Belgium also signed partnerships with Telenet, Voo and Proximus to enable these Internet access-providers to guarantee safer and more secure online traffic to their customers.
